She only meant to fake sick
                                                    today
He always wears mittens
             drinks gin and tonic
             stirs with his                 tongue

             takes shots from her belly button

while her body fights
             between
to be or to do
             a battle of verbs

They communicate with their eyes
counting the collection of crows feet
             practice to know when he is lying
                          or withholding information
Her arms aren? long enough to reach     around him

There is a home inside her belly button
             where he sucks the nutrients out with a curly straw for faster results

A home filled with cigarettes    empty beer cans

So   she buys him an ashtray
